We had a great time last night at the Piedmont Club for the Art Show and dinner afterward. Harrison sold 4 out of 5 paintings!! I’m not surprised because they really are so good. As soon as we walked in the door people immediately came to us and said, “have you seen Harrison’s paintings yet?! They are amazing! I didn’t know she had so much talent…etc.” She had them framed and they looked gorgeous.
These are the ones that were sold by the time we got there:
Day to Day
And here is the one that didn’t sell, which I was really surprised about. Lindsey and I might fight over it now :).
Are those colors not awesome?!
My second favorite part of the art show were the party favors. They were white chocolate canvases painted by the staff. Not only were they pretty, but the chocolate was outstanding.
I thought that was such a cleaver idea for takeaways from an art show.
I didn’t take any pictures of our dinner because it would have been totally inappropriate for me to bust out my camera in the middle of the Piedmont Club…even though I really wanted to. This one reason I seriously need an iPhone…for inconspicuous picture taking.
We’re trying to hold out on the iPhones until the new one is released, but it’s killing me. I hate my stupid blackberry. It’s so slow compared to iPhones, doesn’t take good pictures, and the screen is too small. Blah. I think I probably shouldn’t be concerned about which smart phone I have…makes me sound quite brat-ish.
I’m going to quit complaining now.
Here’s what I just made for breakfast – Sweet Flaxseed Oatmeal to-go.
I cooked 1/2 cup of rolled oats like normal and added 2 tbsp of Bob’s Red Mill Flaxseed Meal, a dash of cinnamon, 1/2 tbsp nutella, and a packet of splenda. It was alright – nothing to brag about, but I’m satisfied because I’m pretty sure all that fiber will keep me full until lunch with Grandmama! Off to work…toots.
