I made a quick and easy smoothie this morning, but before I get into that, I have to talk about this morning’s workout.
I did dance cardio – which might not sound like a big deal if you don’t know me – but if you do, you would have died watching me try to do the moves. I hope it gets easier because I felt SO uncoordinated and probably didn’t even get half the workout that I was supposed to because I was trying to figure out what to do the entire time. I followed it up with a Tracy Anderson routine that had a little arms and abs, and a LOT of legs.
Well, it really wasn’t that much – but she focuses on the tiny muscles that you don’t normally focus on when doing leg workouts. It’s not about quads, calves, and hamstrings, but about those tiny muscles you use to push your leg out to the side, up and backward. She makes you push your legs in angles that are definitely not natural, and it burns – big time.
I like the burn though, because it makes me feel like I’m actually working and it’s a change up from my typical strength training workouts.
After finishing and getting ready for work, I made a quick and easy smoothie to sip on the way.
Blueberry and Banana Greek Yogurt Smoothie
Into the bullet went:
- 1/2 cup ice cubes
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 6oz container 0% Chobani Plain Greek Yogurt
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 1/2 frozen banana
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp raw sugar
- Blend and enjoy!
I just had to show the cup for my pops – he’s rather proud of his Gamecocks…
Yummmm! Packed with protein from the Chobani 0% Plain Greek Yogurt, antioxidants from the blueberries, and potassium from the banana – I love a nutrient-rich breakfast to get me through my morning.
